Colonel Harold Paget was born on 9 September 1849. He was the son of Colonel Leopold Grimston Paget and Georgiana Theodosia Halsey. He died on 2 February 1933 at age 83, unmarried.

Colonel Harold Paget gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 7th Hussars. He fought in the Sudan Expedition. He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1897. He fought in the Boer War. He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1900.
